Italian Restaurant and Neapolitan Pizza Coming to Downtown Denville
Ah’ Pizz is pleased to announce that it is expanding to a second location in Denville in Morris County, NJ. The new location will be located in the busy shopping district of the center of Denville on West Main Street. The 3,000 sq. ft restaurant is expected to open its doors in mid-August and will be open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
The new location maintains the same owners and will share the same name and menu. The Denville eatery will source the same fresh imported ingredients customers have come to love and all fresh Mozzarella will be hand-made on-premise. “We are pleased with the early success of our flagship restaurant and want to bring the same great menu and fresh ingredients to the people of Denville and Morris County,” says owner Michael LaMorte. “Neapolitan pizza is seeing a surge in popularity in the US and it is setting the standard for the ingredients and freshness that people have come to expect in a pizza”.
Executive chef and co-owner Greg Lampariello will oversee the kitchen and staff at the new location. “We are proud to bring authentic, Southern Italian fare to Denville,” says Lampariello.
Ah’ Pizz is unlike traditional American-style pizza that you find at most neighborhood pizzerias. All pizza at Ah’ Pizz uses homemade dough made from sea salt, finely ground Italian flour, yeast and kneaded by hand. It includes San Marzano tomatoes, fresh Mozzarella di Fiore or Mozzarella di Bufala, and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. The pizza is then cooked at 900 degrees in a wood-fired brick oven for no more than 90 seconds. The result is a crust with a beautiful char, crispy on the outside and softer towards the middle.
About Ah’ Pizz
Ah’ Pizz was opened in 2010 by owner Michael LaMorte. Originally started as a Neapolitan pizzeria, in less than 3 years Ah’ Pizz has grown to a full-fledged Italian restaurant. In addition to pizza, the menu has recently been expanded to include salads, appetizers, and dinner entrees.
Ah’ Pizz Montclair is 1 of only 68 restaurants in the United States and 1 of only 4 restaurants in New Jersey that is VPN-certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana. This non-profit organization was established in the mid-1980’s to cultivate the culinary art of Neapolitan pizza-making. Their certification ensures members adhere to strict guidelines such as requiring specific ingredients, dough-making technique, and oven type and temperature. The new location has recently applied for and is awaiting its VPN-certification.
